From the beginning, we’ve believed that great music will always be made by people. Our goal is to build the world’s best music creation platform, developed with artists, songwriters, producers, and musicians to support the ways they actually make music.
Today, we’re thrilled to announce a landmark global partnership with BMG, one of the largest music companies. This deal is part of our upcoming launch of our first music model developed with the music industry. Together, we’ll create new music experiences that reimagine how artists and fans can connect, and new economic opportunities for artists and songwriters that opt-in to them.
Building with the people who make music
The most ambitious future for AI and music is one built together, with artists and songwriters at the table and human creativity at the center.
This is central to how we work with artists and creatives at every stage of their careers. We prioritize open dialogue and meeting artists where they are. We host weekly writing camps with artists, songwriters, producers, and musicians to understand how our tools fit into their creative processes and learn how we can improve.
Supporting independent artists is also a shared priority for Suno and BMG. BMG represents some of the most talented independent artists and songwriters in the world. Through our Suno: In Session and Spark programs, we’re investing directly in independent artists and their vision, giving them resources, mentorship and marketing support to grow their careers on their own terms – and we will go deeper with BMG on each of these.
Making music more participatory, responsibly
Our partnership with BMG also reflects two shared beliefs.
We believe that new technologies will help make music a bigger part of the world. When more people experience the joy of making music, they don’t just create more. They value music more deeply, support artists more enthusiastically, and help grow the entire creative ecosystem.
We also believe innovation and responsibility need to go hand in hand. Last week, we published our principles for building the future of music and announced new measures that expand on the protections we’ve built into Suno from our early days. Those principles will guide our work with BMG.
We’re incredibly grateful to BMG and our growing group of industry partners for their trust, collaboration, and willingness to explore what’s possible – and to the millions of people in the Suno community who surprise and inspire us every day with what they create.
